A Vietnamese man, who developed a tumor on his leg at the age of 6, finally had the tumor removed after it reached a weight of nearly 200-pounds.
Nguyen Duy Hai, 32, underwent a 12-hour surgery to remove the tumor and is said to be recovering. While the tumor was not cancerous, it was beginning to consume vital nutrients from his body. The sheer size alone made it difficult for Hai to get around and was also causing a strain on his already weakened heart.
Dr. Mckay Mckinnon, a U.S. surgeon, performed the surgery at no cost. The remaining $12,000 needed for hospital stay, etc was raised by charity.

A Thai man desperate to get money to treat his kidney disease held a man hostage with a knife in the Nonthaburi province located on the outskirts of Bangkok. After police negotiators arrived, they were able to get the man to release his hostage after about 30 minutes. The man was then taken into custody without further incident.

Dante Autullo should consider himself a lucky man after he accidentally fires a nail from a nail gun into his brain.
Autullo was standing on a ladder driving nails into the wall over his head when the gun slipped and pressed against his skull. What he thought was just a scratch turned out to be a nail lodged in his skull.
Autullo said that it felt like a punch to the head but he didn’t realize a nail had fired into his brain. After complaining of a severe headache he went to the doctor where they discovered the 3 /12 inch nail on an X-ray. He then underwent surgery to remove the nail. Doctors say there doesn’t seem to be any lasting effects from the injury.
A Fort Lauderdale man accused of dealing drugs showed up to court wearing clothing that some would say was a bad legal move.
The defendant in the case who was not identified showed up in court in a jacket that depicted instructions on how to make crack cocaine. The defendant’s attorney advised his client that the jacket was inappropriate. The judge in the case had no comment on the attire.
A 23-year-old Taipei City man who died after a 10-hour marathon gaming session at an internet cafe went unnoticed for hours before someone finally called police.
Chen Jung-yu frequented the New Taipei City Internet cafe and had paid for 23 hours worth of internet time but died after only playing for 10 hours. The clerk at the cafe stated that Chen’s arm was stretched out to the keyboard and that he appeared to just be sleeping. After Chen’s time was up that is when the clerk walked over to Chen to find him dead.
