Florida has enacted a new teen sexting law. Penalties for first offenders remain light but repeat offenders could brand a convicted teenager with sex offender status for life. The new state law reduces the punishment for the first conviction to a non-criminal offense, $60 fine, and eight hours of community service. The second offense results in a first-degree misdemeanor, while the third offense remains a felony child porn conviction with permanent sex offender status.
Curtis and Katie are the proud parents of three children. Unfortunately all three were born premature and had to spend time in the NICU. During their eldest child’s stay, Katie got in the habit of pumping every two hours so that her milk wouldn’t dry up. This practice continued for the next two kids until Curtis and Katie had the stockpile of breast milk pictured above. They tried to donate the excess to a local milk bank but due to Katie being on antibiotics at the time they were turned down. With the family moving out of state and estimates to move and store the milk ranging around $1,000 Curtis came up with the idea to try and drink the milk.
An Illinois Man is on trial after prosecutors allege that 39-year-old Robert Lyons killed his mother for refusing to get premium tickets to an Avril Lavigne concert. Prosecutors say Lyons snapped when his mother, Linda Bolek, wouldn’t call a friend to arrange skybox tickets for him. The defense team claims that Lyons suffers from bipolar disorder and lost it when his mother held a knife to his throat during the heated exchange.
A retired fireman in China’s Henan province has been arrested for kidnapping women and turning them into sex slaves. Li Hao, 34, would kidnap young women and then force them to perform sex acts with other men for money. Oddly enough, the women have no hatred for Li and claim that he gave them video games and DVDs.
A fleet of American Predator and Reaper drones has been infected with a computer virus. Drones are unmanned aircrafts, which allow the military to attack targets without risking the lives of actual soldiers. These drones have played a major role in the war terror and have killed more than 2,000 suspected militants and civilians in the past two years. The Sudanese Church of Christ (SCOC) congregation in Omdurman West, across the Nile River from Khartoum, have faced continued attacks after trying to build a church in a region where the dominate religion is that of the Muslim faith. The Muslim population has stated that Christianity was no longer welcome in the country. “We do not want any presence of churches in our area,” shouted members of the mob as they threw stones at the Christians, the sources said. Muslims in the north fear the influence that the Christian Church will bring. “They want to reduce or restrict the number of churches, so that they can put more pressure on believers,” said a church leader on condition of anonymity. The SCOC has been trying to build a church on the land since it obtained the land in 1997. Government officials and area Muslim residents have used delay tactics to prevent it, according to a Christian who lives in the area.
