A Cobb County, Ga woman was arrested for allowing her 10-year-old son to get a tattoo.
Chuntera Napier allowed her son to get a tattoo to honor his brother who was killed by a teenage driver in Macon, GA two years ago. Napier had already gotten a tattoo to honor her son and when her 10-year-old son wanted to do the same she agreed.
After her son got the tattoo someone at school noticed it and contacted the authorities. Napier stated that she was not aware that it was illegal for a child to get a tattoo. She thought since she was a parent it was OK. The law in Georgia states: “It shall be unlawful for any person to tattoo the body of any person under the age of 18, except a physician or osteopath.”
Napier has since been released on bond.
