Video surveillance captures shocking footage of a man opening fire on a crowded bus.
The video is from a TTC transit bus in Toronto and shows Richard Haynes opening fire with the intent of settling a score with a man that he had argued with earlier in the day. Haynes and another man, Marlon Cooper, attempt to get the victim off the bus and when that failed Haynes got back on the bus and fired one shot at the victim. The bullet missed its target but did find its way into the coat lining of an elderly woman sitting near the back of the bus.
Haynes was subsequently sentenced to 9 years in prison on attempted murder charges. Cooper was sentenced to 2 years for assault.
A Brazilian community is in shock after a mother is killed as her 10-year-old son looks on.
Surveillance video from a local business at the crime scene shows the boy exit his mother’s vehicle and cross the street. As the mother sits in her car two suspects approach on a motorcycle and open fire on the mother. The car then rolls off down the street as the son chases it.
Police are currently investigating the crime. No word on a motive or suspects.
A gunman went on a shooting spree in Hollywood injuring several people driving by in their cars. The gunman stood in the middle of the street and randomly shot at cars as they passed. The gunman was ultimately shot and killed by police.
A Texas woman is dead and her two kids are in critical condition after a 7-hour standoff with police over welfare. Police say Michelle Grimmer,38, entered the Health and Human Services office to complain about being denied food stamps. She was armed with a .38 caliber revolver and took a supervisor and two workers hostage. After negotiations the hostages were freed. By night fall the three remaining people in the building were Grimmer and here two children. Police say they heard three gunshots and that’s when they rushed in to find Grimmer dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Her two children were also shot.
A Redlands, California man was shot and killed after a bar fight and the whole incident was caught on tape. The video shows Kruze Kuaea punching one of the suspects in the shooting after Kuaea’s friends tell him someone was mouthing off to him. Seconds later one of the suspects pulls a gun and opens fire on the crowd. Kuaea was shot and later collapsed and died from his injuries. Police are now looking for 3 suspects in the shooting.
A Walgreens’ employee has been booked on attempted murder charges after police say she shot at a man who followed her to work to complain that she was driving erratically on the road. Sharon Brabham, who was on her way to work at her job at Walgreens’, was apparently driving recklessly and a fellow driver followed her to confront her about her driving. That’s when police say Brabham pulled out a handgun and fired a single shot at the man. Luckily the bullet missed its mark and ended up damaging her boss’ car instead.
